1/2″ Taper Tool For Wooden Shafts – This is designed to work with machined arrow heads / pile points – Some small tweaks by the archer or fletcher maybe required to make the pile / arrow head fit – For hand forged heads, each arrow smith / blacksmith does the socket slightly different each time of making the arrow head so tweaking of the taper on the shaft will be needed for the arrow head / pile to fit.
When using the taper tool to cut the shaft / taper the shaft take your time, use gentle pressure and turn as a slow to steady pace.
